Marlborough Waterfront (Sunday 26th March 2017)

I made my second visit of the month to Marlborough on Sunday and this time found Val at the Waterfront Gardens, busy with her hose. She showed me the spot where she thought kingfishers were nesting and said she had seen one fly up to the roof of one of the tall buildings opposite. As yet there had been no sign of any water voles. I took a few shots of the flowers she was looking after, again using my new lens as I got to know my way around it.

It was warm enough to sit outside and read, which I did further up the Kennet on a bench overlooking the river near the Hilliers Yard car park and watched the ducks.

There was a lunchtime hour-long documentary on Primal Scream, arguing that Primal Scream's sound was the sound of Glasgow.
