Sumsi Mit Po

The title is a little bit of German wordplay.  "mit Po" could be loosely translated as "with bottom" (mit = with and der Po is "the bottom"). 

Sumsi means absolutely nothing at all.

However, if you run all three words backwards, you get (der) Optimismus, which is the German for "optimism".  Optimismus is a positive thing and "Sumsi mit Po" also sounds quite happy.

All the -ism words in German are masculine - capitalism - der Kapitalismus.

I needed all my Sumsi powers today.  From the moment I arrived at work until I left, it was non-stop Difficult Questions.  And I was dancing at the very edge of my language ability for large parts of today.

I've mentioned before that my bus is The OddBus.  The bus where anything can happen.  Tonight was no exception.

One the way home, I spotted one of those cycle couriers coming out of a take away shop, they loaded the take-away into their huge insulated backpack and then instead of speeding off, they got on the bus with their bike and huge backpack (because buses are never full of people standing at 5:30 in the evening).  And they travelled all of 2 bus-stops in rush hour traffic before getting out.

You'd be quicker walking.  And you wouldn't have pissed off 20 people by being such an arse.
