George is a young Scottish chef who has established a small but outstanding Hebridean restaurant tucked away on the tiny Isle of Scalpay, off the east coast of Harris. The freshest produce, beautifully presented. We had the most amazing mussels and seafood chowder, halibut, lemon sole, prawns and scallops. And everything was set off just perfectly by the view from our table towards the old pier (my extra). A diversion well worth the making for Hebridean explorers, not least because Scalpay itself is outstandingly beautiful.
