BOBB2017: OK, I Get the Point!

The group spent our morning at the Gilbert Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch, where we saw cute little cottontail bunnies, lots of hummers and other birds and wildly wonderful plants, many with wicked, wicked spines and thorns! Which a couple us blippers sadly had person experience with! :(
I LOVE Saguaro Cacti! I just can't get enough of their amazing shapes and, well...their 'personalities'. These Desert Sentinels have a long lifespan and can grow 70 ft in height. In my first *extra* you can see a Gilded Flicker poking it's head out of a hole in a Saguaro. Many of the cacti have holes in them, which are nesting places for the Cactus Wrens, Mourning Doves, Gilded Flickers, Starlings and others.  And in the second is a pair of Mourning Doves happily making baby Mourning Doves. Ah, Life is Sweet! :)
