What an Amazing Day!

Spent some time in the Tonto National Forest this morning. Lots of birds and a lovely walk. Next we traveled to the Tonto National Monument, a 40 room Upper Cliff dwelling overlooking the Tonto Basin. It is believed that this structure began in 1300CE(AD) and the area was abandoned between 1400-1450CE, most likely because of a severe drought.

The second photo is of a Burrowing Owl. Volunteers in Gilbert, AZ have built special tunnels for a 'colony' of Burrowing Owls. The preserve  is called
Zanjero Park. Such a thrill to see these beautiful little owls!

The third photo is a Thistle bud beginning to open. And the extra is the mirror reflection of four silly blippers having a wonderful time! Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your stars and hearts! :)
