Magnolia

A blustery day ..... plenty of low cloud and rain for most of the morning and into the afternoon. We have blue sky now but it's still very windy.

This beautiful white magnolia stellata is growing just in front of Pollok House, one of the National Trust for Scotland's properties. I love the floppy petals .... such a pity that the edges of the leaves turn brown so quickly.
