Tour Boat

14.4C very wet morning with the rain clearing to a bright sunny spell through the afternoon. More showers forecast. Wind SSE to 24 mph with gusts to 33 mph then moderate WSW/SW/SSW breeze.

Maeve the Deerhound  had another good evening. However, she did wake at 5am and we went out for a short walk. Her back right leg has been very weak today. She seems to lie awkwardly on it and try as we might we can't get her to lie any other way. When she gets up it takes a minute or more before I like to see her try to walk across a room.

Huge Salmon fillets from the fish shop this morning.

Maeve and I went for a very slow walk after the rain stopped. We went round to the harbour, had a wander round the old quay, then went along past the ferry terminal to the park. Some fishing boats in today and I noticed the tour RIB coming in and what looked like one of the fast passenger ferry boats too. We managed out as far as the park where I had a seat when Maeve wanted to stop. We crossed to the street side of the park and came home through town passing the town hall and the bookshop (open).

Maeve was getting slower and slower as we came back along Longrow. There is no longer any prancing and dancing along with the forelegs lifted high and proud. I am finding it hard to watch her struggle to walk. Then of course she has to come up two flights of stairs.
