Abstract

7.6C bright and sunny. Some cloud. Light mostly Easterly breeze increasing to moderate later.

Maeve and I went for a walk after lunch. Van Morrison on the Nano (Avalon Sunset and Hymns to the Silence II). We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. No sign of any tractors in the fields as we walked today.

We went down the track to the shore road then walked along the cycle path to Westhaven. As we passed Panbride House the farmer from Craigmill farm came along the road in his tractor and turned right up the bridle path and set off to sow seed in his field there. We walked on and went over the road bridge over the railway and down to the beach. The tide had just started to come in. We walked along the beach and had a wander round all the boats by the fishermen's huts before coming back along the beach. We crossed back over the road bridge and carried on round in a loop heading into Carnoustie and up the main road before turning along for home.

Things change today. This is Apothecary7's last day working in Arbroath. As if to underline it all we got a letter from our solicitor today letting us know the sale of our house in Carnoustie is concluded legally. Amazing timing. Packing properly begins tomorrow...

A simple boaty abstract today ... my mind was on other things :-)
