Catching my eye

Looking out of the kitchen window, our eyes met and I thought this stylish Starling looked beautiful against the new growth on our Sparrow hedge.  Lots of nesting going on in the hedge and in the nest boxes outside the kitchen window, only Sparrows in those though.  The Blue Tits, the Wren, Blackbirds and Mr Robin prefer their nest sites further away from the house I think, although they are happy to come to the feeders!

It's been a glorious day, I've been in the garden for most of it and Mr T has been up in the clouds with some good flying, I hope.  He'll be late back so dinner can be late ....  just as well!
