Wet Wet Wet

The media had hyped up the weather forecast so much in the previous 24 hours l hardly dare pull back the curtains this morning.
When l did it was raining quite heavily but nothing compared to where we live in England!
I asked at the hotel how far it was to Central Station to be told there was a door leading to it opposite our building!
What an amazing piece of architecture this is, no wonder it is the sixth most visited building on earth.
Next we took the Uptown tour and exited at The Lincoln Centre where we bought tickets to see the Joffrey Ballet Company for that evening. ( a long held ambition of mine)
Found out that the building of this complex of three concert halls devoted to Opera, Music and Dance was delayed so the filming could take place of West Side Story (as the buildings needed were some of the last of this type in NY)
We walked back past Central Park and up 5th Avenue to our hotel to dry off.
I stuffed my trainers with tissue and used the hairdryer to dry them.
A change of clothes then out for dinner and back to the theatre, this time using the subway.
Only took six photographs all day as it was just too wet.
So in my extras are the hotel lobby, Central Station and another of the concourse at The Lincoln Centre and a bit more of the street art to remind me of this day.
