The City of Hull

We had a good day having a look round Hull.  We met Beryl at the station and retreated to Nero to have a morning coffee before taking off for the Maritime Museum where a display of ceramic poppies cascaded from the top of one of the towers.  We had a look round the museum then went for lunch down Whitefriargate stopping at The Land of Green Ginger where England's smallest window is part of The George Hotel.

After lunch we went to Ferens Art Gallary where their star picture is a large Rembrant and they are also holding a Francis Bacon exhibition.

Beryl took the bus home and Ann and I had another caffine break (at the Nero shown in the main picture) then wandered down to the Humber Dock area and walked over to The Deep, Hull's sea life centre at the mouth of the River Hull.  We didn't go in.

The extra is the window in the George Hotel.
