Cottingham

We went to cottingham today to see my sister Beryl for a cuppa and a chat.   From there we drove to Skidby, home to the famous mill of which I have blipped once or twice in the past.  We went for a nice walk along a footpath at the side of the fields then had a sandwich lunch.  After lunch we felt coffee calling so drove into the centre of Cottingham where the satnav had told me a Costa resides. Duly found we ensconced ourselves for an hour of coffee and papers.  I hadn't been to the centre of Cottingham for a good few years so we had a walk round and took a look inside St Mary's Church which had some very impressive windows.  Back then for tea.

Later News:  We went to Pave on Princes Avenue again for tea.  The place was very busy due mainly to Hull City fc fans, taking some refreshment before the important evening match against Middlesbrough.  There was a great atmosphere and we had a very nice meal, plus a fine pint of Theakston's best.

The extra is a tree carving in Pearson's Park.
