Royal Mile

Today is 49 years after the assassination of Martin Luther King in Memphis, Tennessee. Who knows how history would have been if he had lived? There must have been PhDs done, as there are with every major event, to come up with an alternate view of subsequent events. We went to town to see a play at the Traverse at lunchtime. It was part of the A Play, A Pie and A Pint series and called Ding-dong (A Bit of a Farce). It was really well done, funny and as the title suggests a bit of a farce. Afterwards we went to the Castle for a look; it was rammed with tourists and a great cash cow for Historic Scotland, The blip is a view from near St Margaret’s Chapel, looking down the Royal Mile; it’s a slightly unusual angle.
