TINY AUDIENCE

Command performance —
De Atramentis* payback

are welcome to peek.)

Here's the scoop on Tombow brush pens. Water soluble, double-ended (brush plus pen), wide range of colors, long-lasting, reasonably archival, relatively tiny price. And eminently portable.

This image shows the color range. You can wet it and get lovely washes or mixes,  but I like to scribble. ;-)

The extra shows what can be done with a single black Tombow pen and a wet brush. The important thing is, don't get the Tombow pen wet, or it's ruined! Scribble a bit of black on a scrap of paper, then use that as your palette to pick up as much or as little color as you like. You can draw with the pen (remember, not on wet paper), then soften edges with a moistened brush. The Pentel Aquash Water Brush is a handy tool to use with Tombow. (Not sure whether your Pentel reference was to this, or to another Pentel brush pen.) By the way, the drawing was begun with a Pigma Micron 005 pen. You can see that it held up well to wetting and brushing over.

* Wow, did De Atramentis Document Ink ever get rave reviews. Spendy, but I'm going to try it anyway. Thank you for telling me about it!
