Manesty Wood

Day spent in the rain around Derwent Water.  I don't think for a minute we would have chosen to be photographing in the rain but the exercise showed that you get interesting results in poor weather.    I was particularly pleased with this shot in pouring rain at the foot of Manesty Wood.

Learning need techniques makes for a more subtle approach to photography.   I have resisted the temptation of adding more contrast or color to this shot.   If it is a little hazy it is because that it what I remember of the moment in the rain.

After Manesty Woods visited Lodone Falls and a final stop off at rashness Bridge.  Glad to get in for a drying off late afternoon.
