They Are Back!

My old favourite fungus is back on one of the fallen tree trunks in the woods. Spotted this Dryad’s Saddle fungi this morning on our walk.

I have blipped it in the past, on the same log - but never quite this soon in the development cycle. These can’t be more than a couple of days old (at least the visible growth above the surface). Always remind me of a pizza top!

It was quite warm out walking and Finlay was glad of a paddle and a drink in the beck on the way home.

A little bit of gardening today - bindweed is taking over already so have been hacking it back!

Blip opportunities may be limited tomorrow - it is our niece’s funeral, so we will be occupied most of the day.
