WideAngle Wednesday: Alnwick Castle

Bobsblips's suggestion is that WidWed blips this month should contain either an "A" or an "L" for the first & last letters of ApriL - or "4" as it's the 4th month.

Today we visited ALnwick Castle, so I managed both the A and the L. Once more the weather was lovely although there was still a chill in the wind. Most people probably know that this castle was a major location for the filming of the Harry Potter films - and they certainly make the most of this association. The castle was quite busy with school parties, many of which were having broomstick flying lessons in the outer bailey: we didn't see any kids actually flying over the ramparts but they were jumping up as high as they could on their sticks! We decided not to take part... ;-))

Our little jaunt is now over - we're safely back home so I hope to do some more commenting in the next few days. And thanks so much to everyone who enjoyed looking at my kestrel shot on Monday and gave it stars & hearts - as I write this it's still on page one of Popular - you're very kind; it's really my new lovely new camera and lens which makes such shots possible.
