This looks an interesting bone!

Rusty and I were out walking in an area of forest with no paths when we came across this roe deer red deer skull. A few meters away was most of the skeleton and a few large bones were scattered around.  Rusty sniffed around like he does with everything he finds. He picked up a small bone but after a couple of meters he dropped it and showed no further interest.
The skeleton was picked completely clean so I reckon it died in the autumn or early winter.
By the way, this was rusty's second walk of the day. HarlingDarling took him out first while I was having my root filling finished off!
You can now walk fairly freely through the forest if you avoid the northern slopes where there is still a lot of snow. It feels like the world has opened up as the snow finally goes.
