Clumps of Cuckoo Flower

I've only ever seen Cuckoo Flower, or Lady's Smock, growing at Nanpantan Reservoir. It's said to be a plant that favours damp surroundings.

I was delighted to see large clumps of it growing amongst the grass and dandelions at the corner of Leicester Road and Anson Road this year. Mind you, it seems to have been a good Spring for flowers.

I got off the bus from Loughborough to snap a pic of them on my way home.

A photo project this afternoon. Must upload the photos but first, a nap in the conservatory. Sun has come out at last.
