A lovely find

On the way for a top up shop this morning I noticed halfway through the journey  that the wide verge at the side of the road had a mass of little white flowers creating a white carpet. I thought I must stop there on the way home. And so I did. As I crossed to the verge it was clear the carpet was Wood Anemone. As I bent down to capture a single bloom I noticed a few inches away was a flash of blue. I had to look twice and yes it was my first Bluebell of the year – quite small and delicate and it is my blip for today.
