Time for a Stretch

A visit to Montrose took us down to the Montrose Basin nature reserve. I am not great at identifying bird types, but I do manage to recognise a swan. This couple were lazing some distance away, but just about close enough for the limit of the lens I was using. One of the pair decided to have a stretch which was quite nice.

We saw lots more swans, but all too far away for the lens, a couple of ducks and what might have been a goose having a bath in the distance.

After this brief bird watching interlude we walked back up to the House of Dun, where I had parked the car. Time for an ice cream in the garden and a glass of water before heading back to Aberdeen.
