Edinburgh Buses

We've said it before and we'll say it again; Edinburgh must have the best public transport system in the whole of the UK. It's absolutely fabulous. So fabulous, in fact, that Ann said, 'Molly, I have a little project for us to do today. We will buy a day ticket for £4 (gorgeous little collies travel for free) and see how many different buses we can go on.'

So that is what we did.

At first I was a little bit worried. Spending all day on a bus is not my idea of fun. However, Ann said that she wasn't going to do her little project by herself so I had to go with her. She promised that she would incorporate some lovely walks into our bus travels.

…....................And she did.

We left home at 8.30am and got back at 6pm. We've travelled on 25 buses and 1 tram. We didn't have a route planned out, we just went with the flow. And the only rule was................... Ann makes the rules we had to stay on the bus for at least three stops and we couldn't go on the same number of bus more than once.

If anyone is interested, we've listed the buses and major walks that I've been on today below:-

Braidburn Valley Park – 5 - 4 - 11 – 36 – 10 - 22 – 12 – 34 – 16 – Cramond – 41 – 21 – 27 – 14 – 49 – Portobello – 26 – 45 – TRAM – 33 – 25 – 3 – 30 – Union Canal – 35 – Waters of Leith – 1 – 31 – 2 – 38.

Lovely day out and it cost us less than 16p per journey. Yay!

Thank you Edinburgh. xxx
