Minimum

Hebrews 12:1, 2 AMP

THEREFORE THEN, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us,

He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

This new shoulder bag of mine is padded, has a wide strap and is water resistant. It is comfortable and holds all my basics and no more. This bare minimum has given me extra time and flexibility - no more tying up the bigger bag on the back of the bike, putting on a waist bag for keys and phone, popping in and out of shops quicker...etc.

When we just carry what is needed, we go about life more effectively. Things that stop us from being who God called us to be do not need to stay. They can be stripped off and thrown out for good.
