Farming in Dumfriesshire

This isn't a great photograph I know but it's a record of a little bit of work I've been doing for my former employer over the past few months. I've been down in Dumfries several times and today was my last visit. I've enjoyed being in this lovely part of the country but not so much the journey up and down the M74. Today after work had finished I stopped just outside Dumfries at a layby on the A701 to take a photograph of the fertile farming land. I don't know if they really are but I'm going to say that the cows in one of the fields are Belties.

The motorway was awful and, as well as the roadworks at Hamilton, there were accidents on both the north and southbound carriageways. I am so glad to be home.
