Holmehead Weir

I used to come down here as a child. You can see a tree on top of the weir washed down by the rain we had recently. The river Caldew flows over the top, originating from the fells at Caldbeck. I once saw a sofa on top of the weir. We weren't supposed to go on our own, but we did. I sometimes stop for my lunch here. I love the noise of the water crashing over the weir.
