Terek Sandpiper

An unusual billed bird, the Terek Sandpiper, a bird I was so happy to see again and this time with a companion! I'm hoping they will be a breeding pair. They are very shy and very hard to pick out on the rocky and sandy beach, so they made my day. Presumably that bill is a very specialist tool, with that dished profile. Many thanks for your lovely comments on my Donkeys. It is super hot here and it shouldn't be this early in the year!
