Noisy Goldfinches

A quick garden wildlife blip.  I was talking to Hildasrose yesterday about general purpose lenses and super-zooms so today's blip is taken with my Tamron 28-300 at 300mm on the 50D which was set on a tripod pointed out through a window, into the rather dull afternoon.  So, apart from the tripod,  not really a fair test!

Our roofer texted me this morning to say his girlfriend had gone into labour two weeks early, so no roofing today :-)
The remaining bricks for the conservatory wall were delivered while I was asleep and placed rather too close for comfort to the gas tank filler... so Gill and I spent 30mins moving half of them to a less 'interesting' part of the front garden.  Building starts tomorrow :-)
