Forming an orderly queue

We British just instinctively know how to form a queue ....

I came home from work this morning and went off to sleep before any of the noise started. I woke to find the builders had arrived and started work.  No noisy radios, no dodgy language, and no faffing about ... the trench for the foundations is done and filled with concrete.  This is two of them barrowing the mix around to the back of the house.

Back tomorrow for some of the brickwork.

Being an engineer I had to ask how the mixer works ... cement on the left,  sand on the right, water tank in the middle. They are mixed just before being fed out of the chute.  The driver had clearly explained it several times :-)

Our neighbours have been really good about the deliveries and general disruption,  we're going to organise a thank-you tea  & cakes in the garden for them when it is all done.
