The "Man" of the House

Yes, that's my 12 1/2 year old cat proudly lounging in my 95 lb lab/pit bull mix's bed right in front of him while he resigns himself to the cold, hard floor.

This ultra-manly "alpha cat" also happens to be named Velvet (my bad....). For those of you that are new to my blip, I have FOUR dogs plus Velvet (and a white dove named Snowball).... and every single dog is terrified of this cat.

Fair enough. Velvet's been here for 12+ years..... six years longer than any other animal (minus Snowball). He's earned it.
