Open in Practice

The big day for our event arrived. Lots to do to get the rooms and lecture theatre ready for our speakers. Everyone arrived on time, including the catering, and the event got off to a good start. The day went very quickly - I was listening to some of the talks, doing a twitter commentary (#uoropen) and checking that everything was running to time. Managed to get a quick lunch while talking to the speakers that I'd invited. The afternoon sessions went well and it was a relief to get to the final panel discussion and the summing up. 

I'd managed to get some sponsorship for our catering - these colourful macarons were only possible because a commercial organisation helped us out. They were very popular and tasted delicious. 

Worn out after clearing up but we all thought it had been a success.
