There's a hole in my bucket

One of my Christmas presents was a bucket, a circular drill bit and some bark chippings. The idea is to make a home for stag beetle larvae by drilling holes in the bucket, burying it in a quiet place in the garden and then filling it up with a mixture of soil and bark chippings. It was a great present and I've been looking forward to sorting it out. The stag beetles don't usually appear hear until the beginning of June so it is ready in plenty of time. 

We used to get lots of them in our garden but numbers have definitely gone down over the last few years.
