View From Beinn Tulaichean

Our expedition had a couple of false starts: the minibus had a puncture, then when we decamped to cars, our driver took a wrong turn, but eventually we got going up Inverlochlarig Glen. By lunchtime we had pitched our tents not far from the end of the track and were ready to climb Beinn Tulaichean.

The weather was incredibly mixed: sunny one minute and raining the next on a continuous cycle. The ground everywhere was saturated and boggy making the going a bit slippery until we reached the ridge... where the wind hit us at 30-40mph. It was quite an achievement to get to the top of the Munro but we certainly didn't hang around for long up there.

The showers continued on and off into the evening but we managed to get our food cooked and eaten, along with a few high camp treats before tucking into our sleeping bags at dusk.
