Awaiting Starter's orders

The eggcitement was intense, as the beautifully decorated eggs waited and jostled for the start of the Annual Breakey Down Hill Dash.

Then they were off! under the fluoro coated supervision of traffic controllers while children and adults alike urged their eggs down the hill.

Again, for the third, possibly even fourth, year in a row, one of the Barnes family won "best decorated egg" and "best surviving egg".

Can anyone knock them off their pedestal of eggcellence?

My mob focused on pun fun, with one entry "Egg Xecutive" and another, the local red headed hairy favourite, "Egg Sheeran".
