Holy Island on Easter Sunday

I had a fairly good nights sleep and woke to the rain pouring down. We had a lazy morning and then headed for Brodick. As we drove down the drive way we could see that someone had written ' JESUS IS ALIVE' in large letters in the sand.
Through the rain we arrived at our destination and met up with Alex who was our  Tour guide for the afternoon, We boarded the Mogabout , ' a sixteen seater mercedes unimog 4x4' . Brilliant fun afternoon going through the forest on bumpy dirt tracts up to viewing points where on a clear day the views must be amazing but even though the cloud was low we still had this great view over to Holy Island . We went to the Glenashdale  Falls that tumble 140ft down a narrow gorge. There's a viewing platform that goes over the falls where we met two horses and their rider on their way up the track rom Whiting Bay.
On to the very atmospheric Giants Graves, a 5000 year old chambered cairn, we could feel the 'hotspot' . Interested seeing the carved 'graffiti' left by previous generations which showed up well in the damp conditions. On the return journey Alex told us about local Folklore including on about Fairies, we now know where being 'away with the fairies'comes from.
On our trip we were lucky to see two female red deer, two Buzzards and three kestrels.
The last extra is blurry but I thought it looked mystical :)
