Close Encounter

I have a garden bed that is full of bright red Celosia flowers and is infested with carpenter and bumble bees. Of course you all know me and couldn't pass on an opportunity to get a close up shot.

The bees didn't seem to mind my presence although they were whizzing around my head and making me a little nervous. This one gave his "bat" pose and then flew directly toward me, landing on the outside of the lens for a millisecond and then flew away.
