This is a closer view of the chimneys that could be seen as specks on the horizon in my Blip on Sept 5th. They are a reminder of the lead mining that used to take place in the area. They're situated on Dryburn Moor to the South East of Allendale. We can see them on the horizon from our landing window.

Jane and I went for a drive across the local moors, something we have been saying we would do since we moved here last year. It's a series of one stunning view after another.

It's a beautiful county.
