Torrent de Pareis

Backblip:

What an absolutely fantastic day, walking/climbing/scrambling/sliding - because of the tremendous polish - down the route of the Torrent de Pareis!  There was no water in the riverbed and the weather had been hot and sunny for days so we were safe, because apparently people have died here by being caught in a deluge of water from the mountains following rain.

The route was a little challenging, bordering on scary in places, but it was all great fun and I think it's the most dramatic place I've ever been - see the extras.

We took a little longer than expected, one of our number admitted that he wasn't as fit as he thought he was, and he was also the one with the least climbing experience, so we nursed him along the second half of the route.  I don't think it helped that he ate two Snickers bars within an hour of starting the walk, but he did complete it, although he didn't really have much choice...
