Party

I have spent most of today helping Nicola prepare the food for her twentieth wedding anniversary party this evening. This is a picture of the inside of her fridge although it does not show the extent of the food and alcohol that is in there. The fridge is quite deep and this only shows what is at the front; the bottom shelf is not showing either, which is also full of alcohol.

In the fridge we still have all the meats, cheeses, pork pies and sausage rolls all prepared and ready to put on the table, as well as a large quantity of alcohol. There is even more food and alcohol in the family room as well as the kitchen. Some of the food, which can be left out is already set out on the table still covered. I am not sure what the Heinz baked beans tin is doing on the top shelf. She still has the Pimms and the punch and cocktails to make. The invitation said the usual, please bring a bottle and food will be provided. She likes to have enough having been brought up that way, but I think she will be eating leftovers for a day or two!

We are taking them all out for dinner on Wednesday 12 September which is the actual wedding anniversary. It is a lovely Italian Restaurant which used to be a pub, but it has a large choice of menu and caters for all of us.

I did find time to eat lunch while watching the F1 Qualifying; the last ten minutes of it was very exciting.
