"I'm Really Quite Cross"

A quick visit to Manchester City Centre this morning to sort out some essentials.

Returning down Deansgate we passed a large protest march on the other side of the road. It was a pro-science march defending knowledge, science and reason. Now that is my sort of protest. 

It does seem extraordinary that in 2017 people have to march and protest to reject a slide into irrationality. But then we have a US president who believes that climate change is a devious conspiracy, celebrities promoting dangerous anti-vaccination myths, and even some who believe the world is flat. Silly is far too mild a word.
