to Nest

I have spent the last couple of days running my saw around the base of each tree on our boundary in order to discourage the growth of ivy.

Now that job is done it reminded me that I had a couple of spare nesting boxes. They were put up today but , of course, are too late for nesting birds this year.

Oh and the swallows arrived yesterday!
