Achievement and Excellence

Mimi was on her travels again today but not today any ice rink thankfully but an hours journey to Carluke for her to compete in the National Burns Festival for Scottish School Children organized by the Robert Burns World Federation.

I was unaware how big a deal this was and after her second place in the RAIBF competition she had qualified to competed with the very best.  I always worried about her playing music due to her deafness however she seems to have an aptitude a plays drums and violin and penny whistle.  Today it was the penny whistle and a duo of Burns tunes and she was fabulous.  Whislt she did not get placed today she scored 83% and had great comments from the adjudicator.  Her certificate of achievement for excellence in the instrumental section.

I am so proud of how she represented herself and her school.
