Stonestacking

There appeared to be some strange stones shapes on the beach and rocks in the sea at Dunbar today.  People had been taking part balancing stones seemingly trying to defy gravity in the European Stonestacking Championships.  As the tide came in some shapes remained upright while others collapsed into the sea.  This man was completing his second tower with 31 stones and there was even a competition for children who were having great fun too.    A lady said that she had built a ‘family’ that now appeared surrounded by the sea but was still standing although I saw part of one being knocked down by a wave.

I notice that my camera yesterday had the wrong date so this should be 22 April.
