John M. hard at work

Camilla and I spent the day on the streets of the town centre once again filming interesting buildings for the Local List.  We had to wait for a delivery van to move away from the front of a building at the bottom of the High Street at which point we spotted this gentleman. He is an old friend and former colleague of both of us, and today he was en route to canvas for the Green Party candidate in the County Council elections at the beginning of May.

John M. has been the key organiser of the local Green Party for two decades, as well as being busy as a long-standing councillor on both the Town and District councils. He is a much loved figure in the community and has formerly been mayor of Stroud many times as well as a relentless peace campaigner. He also gets blipped by me at least once every year.
