Passing fair

Love, whose month is ever May April
Spied a blossom passing fair
Playing in the wanton air.

Love's Labour's Lost

Apologies to the Bard for the slight fiddle, it doesn't sound too bad though. Happy Birthday to Shakespeare - 453 I believe.  And happy St George's Day too to those across the water. The roses are in bud but the blossom is bursting out all over the place, definitely passing fair.

It looked a fine day in Stratford upon Avon  which traditionally celebrates with a big procession. I know all this for I used to teach in a little school just outside Stratford and every year the children would dance outside the Bancroft Gardens then join in the procession, complete with posies which were laid at Shakespeare's grave. The weather was either roasting or lashing but whatever, each child who took part was rewarded with a well earned ice cream!
