Easter Monday

I was going to go for a bike ride in the morning, but the weather forecast wasn't very good, and after yesterday's poor conditions, I decided not have a lazy day off.

In the afternoon instead of heading somewhere for charity shop shopping, as most would probably be closed, partner and I headed up over the Braid Hills to Mortonhall Garden Centre for coffee. The front garden is in dire need of a refresh, so we looked at paving, plants and fences for ideas.

The blip is actually in Edinburgh City, taken from a back road on the east side of the Braids. This part of Edinburgh deserves never to be built on.

Coffee was a little disappointing, the latte was to cold. The cranberry and white chocolate flapjack was nice. We walked back through the old arboretum of Mortonhall. I wonder how they keep their grass so short and free of dandelions?
