Shoreham Airshow

The annual pilgrimage to the Shoreham airshow. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great, it rained all morning and even though it stopped raining in the afternoon and planes eventually started flying the sky was very dark. This photo doesn't really show just how dark it was as I have lightened it a bit (well, actually, quite a lot!). Still the day was enjoyable and lots of planes were to be seen flying even though some had to cancel due to the time lost in the morning. In some ways I managed to get better photos this year as the weather kept many people away and I managed to get a good vantage point right next to the runway so some of the planes actually filled the frame instead of being tiny dots in the sky.
