Drops - not of rain

Glorious sunshine all morning, which was all most gratifying as I wanted the grounds to look as lovely as possible for the midday visit of AJ and P. And lovely they did look, as we sat looking out over the Forth from the top deck, sipping our fizzy something left over from a party. This is how we live *pretence*
Then to the Chain Pier to continue our discussions. AJ is never short of input on any subject having worked in both the BBC and in the corridors of power dispensing legal advice. Even if I’d had half such an interesting hinterland, I’d still be at a loss as my powers of recall - let’s just say they’re not what they were. Well, I think they’re not. Not what? What they were! Pay attention. Where was I? Ah yes, Chain Pier. Who ordered the fish? Oh, that was me. Sorry.
Then on to Homebase. We lacked a Hozelock component - a double male connector. ‘nuff said.
And home. And then a call from the Home, which D had been expecting since her visit to her old man in the morning. So off we went back over to the southside for the last time. We sat awhile, with her sister and Pete too, all a bit sad, but aware that everyone (himself included) wished he’d gone before now. After, a call in at his older sister to break the news. She was as commendably pragmatic and down to earth as ever - life is certainly for the living.
