I've blipped this lovely clematis before, but why not when it is so abundant and stunning if only for a too short time?  I may have explained its story before but, hey ho, it was originally adorning a cherry tree in neighbour David's garden, but the cherry died and David carefully unwound it from the tree and laid it on a shrubbery which used to be here before mini neighbour Molly moved in with her house.  When we took down the overgrown shrubbery, we carefully lay the clematis on the stone wall and there it has thrived.

The sunshine of the last few days has begun the process of opening the buds to various stages.
