Foundation Stone

A large civic building deserves a foundation stone. I'm not sure the practice of laying a foundation stone, and the ceremony that goes with it, still continues. Modern commercial buildings are more likely to get a topping out ceremony, the output of which is a group photo in the local newspaper.
