Framed at last!

My son and daughter in law gave me an enlargement of this picture from one of my beloved Ladybird books some time ago, and at last I have got it framed - collected it from the framers today!
I loved this picture as a child, and then enjoyed sharing the story with my own children. It is from "Ginger's Adventures" - written in verse. It is a simple, sentimental story of a farm boy's puppy who gets sent to live in London - gets into the usual puppy trouble - and then after sitting in this box, decides to escape and go back to the farm!

Here is the verse that belongs to the picture:

"Ginger longed for little Tommy,
Longed for days that used to be,
When there were no dolls and cushions,
When the hours were glad and free."
